Tigers Ups and Downs in Homecoming Volleyball

Homecoming week kept the Tigers volleyball team busy, with two matches and a four-match tournament packed into five days. The Tigers hosted the LPGE Thunder on Tuesday, traveled to Osakis on Thursday to take on the Silverstreaks, and then headed to Parkers Prairie on Saturday for an eight-team tournament.
On Tuesday night, the Tigers defeated the Thunder in three straight sets, 25-17, 25-19, and 25-22. Although the Tigers struggled at times to find a consistent rhythm, they battled through and found a way to come out on top.
The Tigers have shown the ability to put together strong offensive and defensive plays, but, like many high school teams, consistency can sometimes be a challenge. Santana Benning and Brynn Sudbeck each recorded four ace serves. Olivia Browen led the Tigers offensively with 11 kills, followed by Gabby Elke with nine and Sudbeck with eight. Allie Bartels led the team with nine digs, while Benning recorded eight and Sudbeck had seven. Benning also finished with 34 set assists...
