Tigers Volleyball Rallies for Two Big Wins

The Browerville-Eagle Valley Tigers had a busy week on the volleyball court, picking up a pair of conference victories while battling through some adversity along the way.

The Tigers opened the week Tuesday night at home against the Benson Braves. After four sets, B-EV came away with a 3-1 victory, winning 23-25, 25-22, 25-16 and 25-11.

The Tigers got off to a slow start and found themselves in some early holes. However, the Tigers continued to battle and clawed their way back into each set. After narrowly dropping the opening set, the Tigers found their rhythm in the second set and pulled out a close victory.

From there, the Tigers settled in and took control. The third and fourth sets saw B-EV playing with confidence and consistency as the Tigers finished strong to earn the four-set win.

With 38 set assists, Santana Benning helped keep the offense balanced and effective. Olivia Browen led the attack with 13 kills, followed by Gabby Elke with 11, Brynn Sudbeck with 8, and Brooke Perish with 7. Benning also contributed 17 digs, while Elke and Paxton Line each recorded 15 digs...
