Todd County Board of Commissioners: County discontinues Home Care Program

At their regular meeting on June 6, the Todd County Board of Commissioners voted to discontinue the Home Care Program through Health and Human Services after discussion and careful consideration.
Following is a letter sent out from the HHS department after the meeting.
Todd County’s Home Care Program Discontinued
“At the June 6, 2023 Todd County Board of Commissioners meeting it was decided to opt out of home care license renewal, discontinuing home care services and transitioning existing home care clients to other home care providers.
A number of challenges were presented to the commissioners. This resulted in the decision to discontinue home care.
The Todd County home care program was unable to obtain a contract for in-home physical and occupational therapy. . .
