Todd County Board of Commissioners: CUP for Highway 27 Auto Salvage, LLC revoked

After discussion and a bit of sharing complaints during the open forum, the Todd County Board of Commissioners voted to revoke a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) held by Shannon Hinnenkamp for the business known as Highway 27 Auto Salvage, LLC located just off Highway 71.
During the open forum prior to the official start of the meeting, Kerry Pipo, a resident who has a home next to the salvage yard spoke.
He said, “The Junkyard Act is still being violated. It keeps getting bigger and the fences aren’t the right height...Minnesota has their statutes on fencing, if you put that type of fence up you need to leave room to be able to build the fence and whatnot, you have to give the nice side of the fence to the neighbor under the Good Neighbor law. So there’s that.”...
