Todd County Board of Commissioners: Public hearing on local option sales tax

No comments or questions were received regarding a transportation local option sales tax (LOST) which the county has been using in the public works department for several years. A public hearing is required for them to consider and/or continue a transportation local option sales tax.

Public Works Director Loren Fellbaum said that if they were to reimplement the tax they would be able to maintain their county roads for the next 20 years. They would even be able to add the Lake Wobegon Trail for a bituminous overlay.

On September 6, 2014, the Todd County Board of Commissioners approved a LOST by resolution with the tax becoming effective on January 1, 2015. . .
