Todd County Board of Commissioners: “There is no trust left...”Vote to “not adopt” tax abatement

“In God we trust? There’s no trust left [in the government]. We sit here, the little guys, and we’re screwed. . . This is going to get worse. We can’t go home and sleep at night . . . There is no trust,” were the words of Dairy Ridge neighboring landowner Cary Hudalla as he addressed the Todd County Board of Commissioners during the open forum prior to the meeting’s official start on January 16.
He was talking about the high nitrate levels in the water around the Dairy Ridge operation.
Hudalla wasn’t the only neighboring landowner that expressed concerns related to the proposed expansion of the dairy operation located off Highway 287 in Long Prairie....
