Todd County Development Corporation Unveils Updated Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan

At their annual meeting held on April 9 at the Browerville Community Center, the Todd County Development Corporation (TCDC) presented a comprehensive update to its mission, vision, values, and long-range strategic plan following a year of organizational review and community engagement.
Executive Director Leah Wolkow and Amerdaco Services Consultant Erik Draxten presented the updated plan that will guide the TCDC into the future.
The session highlighted both the organization’s history and its evolving role in supporting economic development across Todd County, emphasizing a renewed focus on aligning future efforts with community and business needs.
A refreshed direction after years of continuity
Presenters noted that the organization—originally founded in the early 1990s and formally designated as a nonprofit in 1993—had not undertaken a major strategic overhaul since 2017. Leaders said the timing was right for a refresh, citing leadership changes and nearly a decade of incremental progress across programs, including pandemic-era support efforts that distributed approximately $1.8 million in assistance to local initiatives...
