As of October 16, Twin Eagle Dairy has been in business for 25 years. Pat Lunemann and his wife Jody of 39 years are the owners of the dairy operation located in rural Clarissa.
The farming operation is comprised of 900 adult milking cows along with 950 head of youngstock. In order to feed all of the cattle, they plant crops on 1600 acres of land. One thousand of those acres are rented cropland.
They have 20 employees who have all been with the Lunemanns for ten years all the way up to 27 years.
Pat Lunemann has been interested in farming since he was a teenager and went to college where he received his agriculture production degree in 1979.
“My classmates in high school used to roll their eyes in speech class because I gave speeches on subjects such as cow genetics and crop fertility,” said Lunemann.
Since that time...“The obvious changes made and seen in this business has and still is technology,” he added. . .
