Underclassmen Lead the Charge: Tigers Track Team Delivers Strong Results

The Tigers track and field team delivered an impressive showing this week, highlighted by strong performances from underclassmen and standout efforts in both running and field events.

In the boys’ 100-meter dash, sophomore Jonah Berg led the team with a time of 12.41 seconds, followed closely by fellow sophomores Tyler Rowe (12.45) and Henry Batista (12.53). Senior Sam Asmus and eighth-grader Felix Ydrogo also contributed solid finishes, showcasing the team’s depth across grade levels.

The girls’ sprint squad continued the momentum, with Brooke Perish placing fourth in the 100 meters at 13.28 seconds, earning valuable team points.  Claire Perish finished just behind in fifth place. Brooke also added points in the 200 meters, finishing seventh.

Berg doubled back in the boys’ 200 meters to earn an eighth-place finish and another point for the team. Rowe and Batista again followed closely, reinforcing a consistent showing in the sprint events.

In middle-distance races, Kailey Pedley turned in a standout performance in the girls’ 400 meters, placing fourth with a time of 1:07.92. On the boys’ side, Simon Kruse led the team in the 400 meters. Audrey Welle highlighted the girls’ 800 meters with a personal best time, while Callie Perish also posted a season-best effort...
