Verndale man ejected from vehicle


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Sunday, June 25, at 1:26 p.m., a 2000 Ford F350 driven by Lambert Gerard Butler, 66, of Verndale, and a 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Jake Albert Peck, 37, of St. Cloud, were in the right lane traveling east or south on Highway 10 in Cushing with the Ford in front.

The driver of the GMC attempted to pass the Ford, striking the rear of the Ford and causing it to roll. One unbelted occupant was ejected from the vehicle.

Butler sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital. His passenger, Ethan Michael Orlando, 25, of Verndale was not injured.

Peck and his two passengers, Jack Ryan Peck, 6, and Maizie Grace Peck, 9, were not injured in the accident.
