Verndale School Board celebrates educators and prepares for graduation

The Verndale School Board held its regular meeting on May 6.
Administrative Reports
Principal Katie Bolland shared they celebrated (at Sourcewell) the Educators of Excellence: Deb Hutson and Katie Tackman and the Pillars of Excellence: Mary Gronlund and Ed Pudwill.
The Verndale School is part of a $100,000 Youth Skills Training grant award for two years. This includes Bertha-Hewitt, Menahga, Sebeka, Staples-Motley, Swanville, Upsala, and Verndale, with a focus on ag awareness. There are internships with coursework on precision ag and butchering
The CTE program held a fundraiser, and a pepfest will be held on May 14. As each fundraising goal is hit, another activity will happen. When they reach their goal of $500, Bolland will get a pie in the face along with other events taking place....
