Verndale School Board: Curriculum, community ed and changes discussed

The Verndale School Board held its regular meeting on January 3. Principal Katie Bolland and Activities Director/Dean of Students Greg Johnson were absent.

The school board began with the organizational meeting: Board Chair Bill Blaha, Vice-Chair Shyla Hess, Clerk Chris Youngbauer and Treasurer Scott Veronen.

School board meetings will remain the same to be held on the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m.

Approved organizational items and official designations and committees. Board compensation is $80 per regular meeting, $10 additional for board chair, $60 per extra meeting and meetings over five hours will be compensated $150.
