Verndale School Board: Mental health needs on the rise

The Verndale School Board held its regular meeting on February 7. Chair Bill Blaha and Member Shyla Hess were absent. Member Scott Veronen was acting chair.
Administrative Reports
Activities Director and Dean of Students Greg Johnson shared the One-Act play took third place at the Sub-Section 22A contest. Fourteen students were involved.
Winter sports playoffs will begin soon.
Received a check from MSHSL foundation from the grant application. Received $822 from the foundation to help cover student activity fees.
Principal Katie Bolland shared their FFA Chapter President Jayma Lawson was named Region 2 secretary. She may be the first in the school elected to a regional role.
Robotics placed 8 out of 18 teams at the Frozen Classic. . .
