Wadena County Commissioners: Corrected levy includes 1.97% increase

The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on December 12.

Corrected Levy

Auditor Treasurer Heather Olson presented the corrected levy, payable 2024. It includes an overall increase of 1.97 percent, at $10,310,542. A few minor errors were caught and adjusted. Kitchigami dropped their request of over $10,000, including forfeiture funds from the sheriff’s office which was to go toward one of their squads—decreasing the amount they requested, community corrections requested about $8000 less, as well as there was a decrease in election funds do to grants....
