News from Eagle Bend's Past 25 Years Ago July 25, 2001 The Eagle Valley Clinic in Eagle Bend is a unique arrangement between Lakewood Health System in Staples and CentraCare in St. Cloud and Long Prairie. The two separate entities joined together to form the combined clinic space in Eagle Bend. The beautifully designed new building just outside of Eagle Bend on Highway 71 features six finished exam rooms, with two rooms that will later be used for other clinic purposes. ***

According to court documents, Denise Gaida, Todd County Auditor/Treasurer from Browerville, has been charged with two felony counts and one gross misdemeanor related to a quit claim deed for property that belonged to her late brother. Hewitt Intersection will be Converted to All-Way Stop in July
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will convert the rural two-way stop intersection in Hewitt into an all-way stop intersection in July to improve safety and reduce severe crashes. Work is scheduled for Highway 71 at Highway 210 in Hewitt, Todd County, around July 14. Traffic will be flagged while crews install new signs, which may result in brief delays. Seip Drug Temporarily Closes Clarissa Location
Seip Drug in Clarissa has temporarily closed due to a shortage of pharmacists. The pharmacy closed at the end of June. Owner Nathan Seip said the closure is not related to a lack of business but rather the ongoing challenge of finding a pharmacist to staff the location. In the meantime, Seip Drug is assisting customers through its Battle Lake location.
