Signal Removal, Detours, Bike Ride Ahead for Wadena

Stoplight to be removed at Hwy. 71 and Bryant Ave.
On Wednesday, June 22, crews will take down the signal at the intersection of Hwy. 71 (Jefferson St.) and Bryant Ave. Stop signs will be placed on Bryant Ave. to allow for right turns only onto Hwy. 71 until work is completed.
Bicyclists to be in town
Expect lots of bicyclists in town July 28-29. Just a heads-up that Wadena will be an overnight stop for the MS TRAM ride on July 28-29. That means there will be a lot of bicyclists around town during those two days.
Please take it slow, stay alert and give riders plenty of space. Thanks for helping keep everyone safe while they’re visiting!
Hwy. 71 work begins in early August
Crews will continue with storm sewer work and sidewalks along Hwy. 29 through early August. Then, they’ll move to Hwy. 71 from Aldrich Ave. to Franklin Ave. until early September, at which point they will resurface and finish both Hwy. 29 and Hwy. 71...
