A New Era as Gymnasium Reaches Completion

Browerville Public Schools is proud to announce the completion of its long-anticipated gymnasium and entrance project. After months of steady progress and careful coordination, the new facility stands ready to serve students, staff, and the wider Browerville area for years to come.

The project began following the partial collapse of the high school gymnasium roof on April 1, 2023, due to heavy snow and ice accumulation. Structural engineers recommended a controlled demolition of the entire structure to prevent further damage to surrounding areas. Recognizing the gym’s vital role in student learning and community, district leaders and voters came together to move forward with a rebuilding plan, supported by a successful referendum passed in November 2023.

“This project has been about more than just bricks and mortar. It’s an investment in the future of our students, our school, and our community,” said Superintendent Scott Vedbraaten. “We’re incredibly proud of the result and excited to begin using this space to support learning, athletics, and community events..."
