Bears Rebound Against McGregor after Tough Swanville Defeat

The Bertha-Hewitt boys basketball team fell to Swanville 62–52 on January 13 in a competitive Park Region matchup. Despite a strong effort and multiple players contributing on both ends, the Bears were unable to overcome Swanville’s scoring balance and consistent pressure.
Brady Rach led the Bears offensively, scoring a team-high 22 points while adding 11 rebounds and 1 steal. Rach’s performance was a major factor in keeping the game close, as he repeatedly attacked the basket and secured key rebounds throughout the contest.
Rowan Hauer also had a strong night, finishing with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Hauer shot efficiently, going 3-of-5 from the field (60%). Garrett Becker added 10 points, going 3-of-4 from the floor (75%), while contributing 1 rebound and 1 steal.
The Bears received additional scoring support from Jalen Hinzmann, who scored 9 points and dished out 3 assists. Trenton Becker added 3 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds, helping to facilitate the offense and create opportunities for teammates.
On the glass, Rach led the team with 11 rebounds, while Henry Lockwood contributed 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The Bears also recorded a total of 10 assists, showing good ball movement despite the tough shooting night.
