Bertha-Hewitt vs Menahga

On Tuesday, December 12, the Bertha-Hewitt Bears boys basketball team hit the road for a three-game stretch, finishing the week with a 3-3 season record. Their journey began in Menahga, followed by trips to Laporte and a challenging face-off against conference rival Wadena-Deer Creek.
Against Menahga, the Bears started strong, trading shots and leading 19-18. A pivotal moment came when Zach Baumgartner drove to the basket, drew a foul, and netted two free-throws, sparking a 10-0 run. The Bears showcased teamwork with plays by all 5 guys on the floor including taking two offensive charges, pushing the ball in transition and creating turnovers on the defensive end, building a 47-40 halftime lead....
