Bears test the top ranked Owls

Last Wednesday, before MEA break, the Bertha-Hewitt Bears Football Team traveled to Hancock to take on the top-ranked and undefeated Hancock Owls. The weather turned out to be a cold and rainy evening as both teams raised awareness for cancer by wearing pink.

“It was great to see both teams step up and honor all of those that are fighting the terrible thing called cancer,” stated Coach Hoemberg.

The Bears received the ball first and proved to win the battle in the trenches. A couple of turnovers on downs and an interception from the Bears gave them the momentum they needed to drive down the field. . .
