Bertha-Hewitt boys take the title at Wadena

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears Cross Country teams traveled to Wadena on Tuesday, September 5 for the Johanna Olson Invitational that had 19 schools competing.

The girls 2-mile junior high race started the day in which the Bears had two competitors.

Johnson paced the junior high girls (5th - 15:55.80) followed by Claire Williams (41st - 20:22.10).

The junior high boys 2-mile race had two competitors for the Bears and was led by Nolan Rach (2nd - 13:48.80) and Vance Lockwood (3rd - 13:49.40). Both boys were only beaten by a lone 8th grader and showed their true running prowess to finish so high at the finish line....
