BHVPP 4-0 on the week; Hoffmans are Region Champs

Last week, the Raiders were on the road for two triangulars. Tuesday night we traveled to Pelican Rapids to battle Staples-Motley and the host Vikings. BHVPP had a couple of starters out each night due to illness so everyone was going to have to step up to bring home the wins. The opening round against the Cardinals was going to be close on paper and it saw the opening match swing in their favor by a major decision. Orran Hart answered that by a major decision over his 4th-ranked opponent to even up the dual. The Cardinals grabbed a pin at 120 and Evan Jares received a forfeit at 126 to knot it back up at 10-10. Bennet Arceneau worked a major decision as we took our first lead of the evening. We traded forfeits at 138 and 145 as Deagen Captain recorded the freebie for the 20-16 lead midway through. David Revering secured the first-period fall followed by a come-from-behind decision, in the final seconds, for Blake Sumstad to extend the lead to 29-16. Cayden Kimber made it 33-16 by picking up a major decision in the final minute with a ride out. . .
