Cancer claims Commissioner Erickson

Rod Erickson, age 64, was an admirable man who made people think when he talked with them.
He passed away on Friday, May 19, at his home after a battle with cancer.
He served his community for many years as the owner of Countryside Plumbing and Heating in Long Prairie as well as being a civil servant by serving on the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School Board for several years.
For the past 10 years, he has served as a District 3 Todd County Commissioner.
Todd County will need to determine when they will hold a special District 3 election to fill the seat on the board that was created by his passing. . .
