COVID claims the life of police officer

New York Mills Police Officer Ron Smith, 58, of rural Browerville tragically passed away from COVID-19 on Wednesday, December 15, at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

A processional for the officer was held from Duluth to Browerville on December 16.

New York Mills Police Chief Bobby Berndt was one of many that took part in the procession. . .
