Explosive Campfire Accident Results in Severe Injuries

According to the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 6:26 p.m., on Saturday, October 18, the Todd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting a fire-related accident resulting in serious injuries. 

The incident occurred in rural Cushing and involved two individuals who sustained burns while attempting to start a campfire.

According to the investigation, Nathaniel Larson, 34, was using a can of gasoline to ignite the fire when the container caught fire and exploded. Jody Larson, 65, who was nearby, suffered severe burns in the explosion...
