Fatal accident in Long Prairie
On July 9, at approximately 5:05 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road 11 and County Road 93 in rural Long Prairie.
Preliminary investigation indicates that James Leroux was driving east on County Road 93 in a 2012 white Ford F350 and failed to yield the right of way to John Terfehr who was driving south on County Road 11 on a 2000 gray trike motorcycle, causing an accident.
Terfehr was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The traffic accident remains under investigation.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Long Prairie Fire Department and the Long Prairie Ambulance.
