Flyers kept off balance in opening season loss

The Clarissa Area Flyers took the field Sunday against a solid Perham Pirates team and fell short 11-4.

Kole Weishalla took the hill for the first time in a couple of years for home team nine. Kole battled a good-hitting opponent giving up two runs in the first, but the Pirates broke loose as Kole faced the top of the order for the third time in the fifth.

Tommy Geisenhof took the mound in relief in the sixth and seventh innings giving up three runs from well-placed Pirates ground balls. . .
