On April 5, the Clarissa Centennial is holding a Vintage Fashions of Yesteryear-style show. The show is being co-sponsored by the Pillager Trading Post. Bob Jenkins, who is the producer and presenter of the show, has over 170 years' worth of clothing that will be on display as well as modeled by local individuals. Forty men and women are needed for models in assorted sizes. The Centennial Committee would also like some of the original local fashions that are at least 40 years old.
A 15-minute drive to work, instead of an hour and 15 minutes, has been one of the benefits enjoyed by Dorris Jennissen this winter. Jennissen became director of Todd County Public Health earlier this year. Her most recent position has been Director of Nursing in a five-county Public Agency in southwestern Minnesota. Counties included were Swift, Chippewa, Lac Qui Parle, Big Stone and Yellow Medicine.
