The Royal Neighbors met on Tuesday, October 3 with Lucille Fearing leading the meeting. Following the meeting, cards and bingo were played. Helen Rasmussen won high prize and Elizabeth Peterson low. The Halloween Party will be held on October 25 at The Heritage at 5:30 p.m.

Mrs. Leona Nelson of Clarissa has accepted the chairmanship of the Todd County “D-Day” celebration on October 21 to coincide with the statewide “Don’t Smoke” drive, according to Mrs. Robert Cuchna of Clarissa, Todd County Cancer Society president.

Kevin Beaudoin received the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve when he made the rank of Eagle Scout last month. The honor was bestowed upon him at special investiture ceremonies at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Sunday, September 21.
