Hess will compete in the Miss Minnesota Teen pageant at the Island Event Center in Welch, MN, from June 18 to 20.
The competition involves an interview, talent, evening gown, and an on-stage question among the categories.
The week-long competition is held in front of a panel of judges, and on Friday night of the preliminaries, the top eight contestants will be announced, plus one for the People’s Choice. The People’s Choice is chosen according to who receives the most online donations.
The nine young ladies will compete in front of the audience and live stream for the title.
