Horsager participates in Honor Flight

Clarence Horsager, escorted by his daughter Clarice Esslinger, had the privilege of participating in the Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota and Minnesota and was in Washington, D.C. from April 30-May 2.

They departed from Fargo with 85 veterans from Minnesota and North Dakota, their escorts, volunteers, and 70 wheelchairs for a total of 183 passengers.

“Most of us were Korean veterans, two were World War II (one man was 100 years old), and some were Vietnam veterans,” explained Horsager.

They were flown non-stop into Baltimore, Maryland and bussed to Washington, D.C. Their first stop was at Fort McHenry taking in the history of the War of 1812. . .
