Investigation Underway after Long Prairie Man Found Dead

On July 21, the Long Prairie Police Department and Todd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unresponsive adult male lying on the ground behind 11 1st Avenue North. 

Upon arrival, it was found that the adult male was deceased.  The subject was identified as Charles Redning, 52, of Long Prairie.

Charles’ body was sent to the Midwest Medical Examiners’ Office where an autopsy was conducted. The preliminary summary of death reports that the cause of death was due to a head injury from a fall. Alcohol is believed to be involved, and there were no signs indicating foul play...
