To the Editor:
On Saturday, March 28, Resist! Long Prairie will once again gather at the stoplights at the intersection of Highway 71 and County 38 from 2-3 p.m. to protest and demand a halt to Trump’s war and mushrooming evil authoritarianism. Our protest will be in conjunction with the national No Kings mobilization.
We hope that you can come, bring a protest sign, and demand an end to policies that harm children, elders, and our families. We reject Trump and Fischbach’s war and their actions that have gutted essential programs like Medicaid, FEMA, food stamps, school lunches, and environmental protections; all so a handful of billionaires can get huge tax giveaways.
During the 2025 Long Prairie protests our protesting patriots raised over $1,200 for the Long Prairie Food Shelf and, once again, we will be gladly accepting donations to help the Food Shelf feed families in need. All donations, small and large, cash or food, are welcome.
Tim King
