To the Editor:

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

This month and throughout the year, Todd County Health and Human Services encourage all individuals and organizations to play a role in making Todd County a healthy place for children and families. By ensuring that parents have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to care for their children, we can help prevent child abuse and neglect by making meaningful connections with children, youth and families in our communities.

We know child maltreatment is a preventable problem. All adults play a role in building the safe, stable, nurturing homes and environments needed for the healthy development of our future generation of parents, leaders, and community members.

Report any child abuse, suspected child abuse or neglect if you believe that a child’s health or safety is jeopardized due to abuse. Contact the child protective services agency in your county.

Community Connection Night

Please join us on Thursday, April 20, for our Annual Community Connection Event at the First Baptist Church in Long Prairie. A free meal will be provided, community resource fair and activities available for the whole family.
