At the July 10 Bertha City Council meeting, Don Booen, Bertha mayor, told the council members that there were some complaints from citizens on the tornado warnings on Saturday night. Some people didn’t know when the warning was over. There were suggestions of possibly installing a different siren system in town. Police Chief Diedrich was going to discuss this problem with Todd County to see what other cities do in a tornado and/or severe storm emergency.

Dr. W.W. Will will be one of a number of prominent Minnesota medical men who will be heard on a special radio broadcast next fall sponsored by the University of Minnesota, as part of its centennial celebration. The broadcasts will be heard over most of the stations in Minnesota. The broadcasts will be made by means of a tape recording made here last week by a documentary unit of the U of M Radio Station KUOM. Dr. Will is interviewed and tells of his experiences as a “country doctor”. He is also heard in a typical office interview with a patient, Doris Hartz, who simulates an injury.
