D.J. Hoelscher, recipient of the “National Choral Award,” gave Music Teacher Sandy Schorn a big hug at the Spring Concert last Friday night.

The name is not the only thing that’s new at Steve’s Country Foods. New owners, Steve and Sonja Pearson, have gone all out remodeling, adding coolers and freezer space to handle and attractively display a greater variety of merchandise. Steve had been the meat manager for the former Jordahl’s Grocery and the couple decided that this would be a good time in their lives to invest in the future.

The Browerville Livestock Shipping Assn. has changed its regular weekly shipping day from Thursday to Tuesday. Hereafter we will ship stock to So. St. Paul Tuesday of every week, Ed Friauf, mgr.

A new dry-cleaning plant will be opened in Browerville within the next 10 days. The plant will be located in the building just north of the creamery. Watch this paper next week for the announcement.
