Christ the King was the place to be on Saturday for hundreds of LaVyrle Spenser fans who stood in line, many for over an hour, to have their books signed by the author. LaVyrle was a really good sport and didn’t mind being interrupted for a photo. Pictured visiting with her are Father Thielman, Sandra Blenkush and Catherine Krogh.

The OTW league ball club from Clarissa, still smarting from a 21-2 defeat handed to them by the local club a few weeks back, appeared at the Browerville High School athletic field and trimmed the locals in a good baseball game last Sunday afternoon by a 3 to 1 score. An extra large cheering crowd was present to witness some very good ball playing.
