After Amanda Clasemann was crowned Miss Browerville 1996 she started promoting the town to the best of her ability. Clasemann decided to run for Miss Browerville after she enjoyed running for Miss Teen in 1994. She said being Miss Browerville helped her to become a Todd County Dairy Princess in 1998 and 1999.

Greg Lamusga of Browerville has been racing in the Special Olympics since he was in the sixth grade. He took first place in the State Special Olympics in the 30-meter wheelchair race. There were three locations: The University of Minnesota, Roseville Area High School and the Roseville Area Middle School, in which about 1000 participants competed. Lamusga is done racing for this year, but he said he wants to race again next year. He is a recent graduate of Browerville High School and he plans to go to Central Lakes College in Brainerd.

July 13, 1950
Girl Scout Troop 81 spent last Wednesday and Thursday at the Iten Cottage at Thunder Lake. Mrs. Clifford Johnson and Delores Raudzis acted as the chaperones for the girls. The troop enjoyed some fishing and all reported having a good time. They extend sincere thanks to the Wolter Bros., who furnished the transportation, and to Roman Iten for use of the cottage.

The Todd County Annual Farm Bureau picnic will be held at Horseshoe Lake on Sunday, July 16. Come and share in a picnic dinner. Free coffee will be furnished. Lyle Lamphere of the Central Livestock Association will be the speaker. Seating arrangements have been made. There will be music and sports for all who wish to partake with prizes going to the winners. R.W. Palmby and Ruth Lehmann will be in charge of the event.
