The crew at the liquor store was in the homecoming spirit on Friday night, welcoming fans from all the area schools. Manager Sharon Host said she wanted to encourage the team spirit for Browerville but also wanted to let everyone know they were welcome to celebrate together. Pictured were Amy Prill wearing a Thunder jersey, Randy Smith in his Tigers shirt, Sharon Host sporting a Clarissa Bucs blouse, and Mary Ann Woeste modeling for the Tigers.

The Tigers football team put the finishing touches on a successful homecoming week with a 22-0 victory over the Brandon/Evansville Chargers last Friday night. The win extends the Tigers overall record to 4-1 and their conference record to 3-1. Mitch Johnson broke loose on a 43 yard run early in the second period for the Tigers first score and added the kick to give Browerville a 7-0 lead.

October 5, 1950
The annual Boy Scout Finance Drive conducted for the support of the activities and services of the Central Minnesota Council, Boy Scouts of America, will be launched in Browerville at a “kick off” breakfast to be held on the morning of October 5 at the Quality Inn.

Orville L. Freeman’s campaign will carry him into Browerville this coming Saturday, October 14, for a street rally scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Freeman, DFL candidate for attorney general, will be accompanied by Elmer A. Borgschatz, mayor of Zumbrota and DFL candidate for state auditor.
