The successful “Cafe” in Browerville has changed hands. Vicki Heid and Doris Winter are now the former owners and Sherry Crider has taken the reins to continue a 20 year tradition of good eating for customers. Sherry brings her charming ways to her new job and folks will recognize the sunny blonde as a former waitress.

The Browerville Tigers took on the Silverstreaks from Osakis last Thursday. The Tigers started off slow. They just could not make a basket. They missed lay-ups, jump shots and free throws. The good thing is that they played very good defense all night long. Sarah Gonsior led with 14 points, Sarah Hoelsher had 8 points, and Nikki Perlinger added 4 points.

Clinton Conley has recently been appointed by the board of directors of the Farmer’s Cooperative Creamery of Browerville to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of their former operator, Frank Eldred. Clinton has been employed as first helper there for the past three and one-half years.

Minnesota, brand new last year to the American Tree Farm System, topped all other states in number of tree farms certified during 1950. This was announced Monday by American Forest Products Industries, Washington, D.C., co-sponsors of the program with Keep Minnesota Green, the Minnesota Forest Industries Information Committee, and the Minnesota State Forest Service.
