Spruce Hill County Park, located between Browerville and Miltona, was established by the Douglas County Commissioners in 1980. The well kept ball field hosts a team more often than not. In the rolling wooded land behind the ball field, it’s rare to find an unoccupied picnic table. Thanks to efforts by the Douglas County Public Works Department and the Douglas County Historical Society, visitors can park their cars at Spruce Hill Swedish Lutheran Church, walk down the Otter Trail into the peaceful and abandoned village of Spruce Hill.
