With the beautiful spring weather we have enjoyed a full slate of golf action. This is going to help us prepare for our upcoming sub-section tournament. On Thursday, May 17, we finished our conference action at Pebble Lake Golf Course in Fergus Falls for both the boys and girls teams. You knew him all his life as Joe, and we too knew him throughout his seminary years as Joe, yet now we proudly and respectfully greet him as Father Wiersgalla. We know, as he knows, that he did not take this honor for himself, he did not choose this calling. Rather, he was honored from above, he was chose from on high.

Kenneth Plotnik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Plotnik, and former co-valedictorian of St. Joseph’s parochial school, carried off four honors when he graduated from St. John’s Preparatory School last Sunday. Chosen especially for his high scholastic standing over a four-year period and his work as the editor of the school yearbook, the Sagatagan, Kenneth received two honors, a tuition scholarship awarded by the Council of Minnesota Colleges and the senior high average plaque. Congratulations, Kenneth!
