Kristopher B. Lemm has been promoted in the U.S. Army Reserve to the rank of Sergeant First Class.
Lemm is an instructor-writer with the Regional Training Site at Camp Ripley, Little Falls. He is the son of Donald J. and Lila L. Lemm of Browerville, and is a 1979 graduate of Browerville High School.

Candy Buhl and Pam Spindler, recent graduates of Browerville High School, were awarded $100 scholarships from the American Dairy Association. These awards go to students going on to higher education whose families are dairy farmers.

Rev. W. P. Watkins, who was pastor of the Browerville United Brethren Church about 20 years ago and is now at York, Nebraska, was recently granted the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity. He will speak at the local Evangelical United Brethren Church next Sunday evening.

St. Peter’s Guild met at the city hall on Sunday evening with Mrs. George Host, Sr., and Mrs. Ted Lucas entertaining. Card prize winners were Mrs. John Kahlert and Andrew Ulick. The hostesses served a nice lunch.
