“My body, my choice” Group protests vaccine mandates

On Thursday, September 9, President Biden announced that all federal employees and federal contractors are required to be vaccinated.

“We’ve been patient. But our patience is wearing thin and your refusal [to get vaccinated] has cost all of us,” said Biden during his speech.

On Friday evening, September 10, a group of protesters lined up in front of Mid Minnesota Trucking Company along Highway 10 in Wadena to share their displeasure with the newest COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Federal employees and contractors will no longer have the option of regular testing. Employees could face termination if they don’t comply. Biden also ordered healthcare facilities that receive Medicaid and Medicare to also mandate vaccines with no option of testing.

The mandate includes that the Department of Labor is to create a new rule requiring any company with more than 100 employees to mandate vaccines for their employees or weekly COVID tests for workers who cite religious or health reasons for not getting vaccinated. . .
