New Shelter Going in at the Clarissa City Park

The city of Clarissa has been busy with several park projects this summer.
In the big city park, a new shelter is being prepped for. Korblick Excavating of Clarissa did the groundwork and then Treg Schultz and his crew from Browerville did the cement work. Andy Lancaster and his crew are anxiously awaiting the timing for getting the building erected.
Cory Berg transplanted the Dick and Janet Schnettler Memorial tree that had to be moved to make way for the new shelter which is located next to the restrooms in the park.
The work is expected to be completed yet this fall.
Part of the reason that the city of Clarissa opted to build the new shelter is that the Lion’s shelter located near Eagle Creek has been getting damaged each time the creek floods. The Lion’s shelter will be removed due to the damage...
