Noah Coughlan, 41, is an ultra runner, marathoner, and filmmaker from Vacaville, California.
In October 2025, he began his fifth and final Run across America, which will total 5,500 miles across 20 states.
This journey serves as a tribute to highlight the American spirit and the stories of the 350 million American people, meet families affected by rare diseases, and interview some of the 70,000 remaining World War II veterans.
When Noah completes his final run on America’s 250th semiquincentennial birthday on July 4, in Hawaii, he will become only the third person ever to have crossed all 50 states on foot.
On March 19, during Day 153 of his 260-day journey, Noah’s route took him from Staples to Wadena, running a total of 19 miles along Highway 10. His overall total reached 3,014 miles, surpassing the 3,000-mile mark.
He was accompanied by escorts from the Staples Police Department, Verndale Fire Department, and Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, receiving patches from local law enforcement.
Noah hopes to complete a feature-length documentary chronicling his entire journey in 2027 to allow himself time to rest and recover...
