Last Tuesday, January 7, the Pirates Boys Basketball team traveled to Swanville to play the Bulldogs. The Pirates lost by a score of 66-56 in a game that was back and forth throughout.

Verndale was led in the scoring column by Shawn Schmitz and Carter White each with 20 points. Schmitz also had 6 rebounds and 7 assists on the night. Otto Lehmann led the way on the boards with 8 rebounds. Braylin Deleon chipped in 12 points and had 0 turnovers from the point guard position.
