Pirates fall in playoffs

On Monday, March 6, the Verndale Pirates Boys Basketball season came to an end with a playoff loss to the Wolves from Walker-Hackensack-Akeley. The Wolves won by a score of 60-53.

Jaden Schulke led the Pirates in scoring with 15 points. Schulke also had 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals on the night.

Shawn Schmitz and Torii Hagen each had a double-double on the night. Schmitz had 13 points and 10 rebounds while Hagen had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Carter White contributed 12 points. The Pirates ended the season with a record of 9-18. . .
