Pirates squeak by with a 1 point win over Thunder

On Monday, February 26, the Pirates Boys Basketball team faced the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder in a key Section 5A West match-up and won a thrilling double overtime game by the score of 79-78.

The Pirates fell behind early in the game and found themselves down by 15 points with about 3 minutes to go in the first half.

They then rallied and went on a 10-0 run to end the half only down 5.

The second half featured multiple lead changes. The Thunder hit a free-throw with 6 seconds remaining to go up by 2 points....
