Pirates take one from the Trojans, drop to the Cardinals

Reagen Ludovissie poured in 18 points and Taylor Johnson added 17 points in the Verndale Pirates 56-45 Park Region Conference victory over the Sebeka Trojans.

Verndale was able to capitalize on the Trojans' turnovers as the Pirates scored 21 points off of turnovers. The Trojans had 25 turnovers, while the Pirates had 10. Ludovissie finished with 7 steals.

Verndale made more free throws (16/26), than the Trojans attempted (6/10). Free throws late in the game sealed the victory for the Pirates. . .
